Bad to worse. Things are going from bad to worse. Things do get better but it's taking a bloody long time.
At least I have one friend who's been super amazing. And one way to get my mood good is designing a new character.

Bad news just can't seem to bother someone else's family for a bit. I know that sounds cruel to say but life had not been nice for the past three months overall.

Wow, it has been forever since I posted a journal.
I've been busy with commissions hahah. Most of it it actually just sitting in my Sta.sh since tumblr's photo picture posts can change the quality and resolution depending on the size of the original file. I wasn't going to upload them onto here though.
And that's all I'm going to say besides graduating from Uni.
Back to art I go!

Final few weeks left of Uni, but it has already started out with some surprisingly good news and things.
The other day, I got messaged and tagged by some friends on tumblr on these bunch of TF2 SFM posters which told a short story. And there was a quote underneath from a fanfic where the images were based on. I was staring at it going
"Yeah that's really familiar..." but it wasn't until I clicked on the link of the fanfic that I realised that it was mine. The person, the wonderful schmogg had done some posters (well the first was a gif) based on my Heartache version 2 fanfic (also here on dA)I have never had work done from a story. I've had people drawn my characters using references from my art, on here mainly, but nothing from my stories. *wheeze* still pretty hyped about that really. And considering that I still have the list of the ships I need to do for my followers from months ago (which I thought even though I'm busy I should maybe do something quick), I should actually put in effort and do something worthwhile. If that story managed to get something (to which I liked but the ending could have been written better in my own opinion) what other sorts of things could I inspire others to create? Hehehe, now I know how some of the other TF2 authors feel when they receive fanart from their stories. Just looked at the notes.... dustyoldroses, daskingu and a few others who I like to call "TF2 Fandom Royalty" liked it and reblogged it. 384 notes on a bit of fanwork based on my work; never would have imagined that would happen on my time of being on tumblr.
I've also bought lotsa tartan stuff. Tartan miniskirt and tights for example. It's so funny because when I was in year 6, I had wanted to make a tartan mini skirt over the summer, but only got halfway through it before I lost interest. (Gotta find it and finish it off) Then tartan went out of fashion, and now it's back again. Future (RED) Demowoman cosplay too maybe. I'm also not sure if I have enough money to make another blue shirt for my Femgie, so I was thinking to pull the Sniper emblem and put on Engie's there. ... Or, I could leave it on as Sniper, and be Femgie. Trucks n Vans represent~! Or just be a dickish Femgie who goes around stealing other classes shirts *snort*. Also on cosplay, I have bought a lot of wool, to go knit the Merc's Muffler and maybe even Merc's Pride. I am also going to use this as an opportunity to finally learn how to use mum's knitting machine. She's getting older, and it would be a shame if she died in thirty-forty years and I never learnt how to considering that she brought it with her from Japan! I wouldn't want to sell it on eBay or Gumtree either, so I should learn while I still have the chance. Oh, and Vogue patterns from Spotlight are $10 EACH, which is very cheap. I noted down 19 patterns that I wanted... too costly, so I have to trim it down, and then mum said "Even if you buy the pattern you're going to have no money for material". Mum has a whole treasure trove of material, so I'm confident that I could find something actually, even if to practice making the outfit with.
One and a half months until AVCon comes around again, so time's a-ticking.
Bit of cynicism now but I'm really waiting for this still happy-go-lucky mood to go south in the next few months due to Uni work. Test, presentation, essay worth 50% of my grade. Not sure how much the test or presentation is... maybe 20% each, leaving 10% for class attendance. But besides that, I'm trying to make sure to give myself a little free time to enjoy myself and make myself happy even if it means watching/doing some childish things.
Also, I could do with some more TF2 art commissions since all I have left are gifts. I need more things to craft to give to my followers. One bit of art = 1 scrap, remember that and spread the word. Thanks.
